Of the 270 species of birds considered on this site, 152 can be said to be Resident and 1 (Ring-billed Gull) can be considered as a Vagrant (turning up almost anywhere at any time). I have taken the criteria here as the ablity to find representatives of the species within Britain throughout the year and acknowledge the fact that some populations contain fluctuations due to migration.
